Audiologist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats a variety of hearing, balance, and ear disorders. Administers and interprets a variety of tests, such as air and bone conduction, speech reception, and discrimination tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, site of damage, and effects on comprehension and speech. Being an Audiologist evaluates test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational, and medical information obtained from patients, families, teachers, and other professionals. Reviews charts, test results, and other patient data to understand issues and develop treatment programs to alleviate symptoms and treat disorders. Additionally, Audiologist monitors and evaluates treatment progress and adjusts care plan as necessary. Programs, fits, and adjusts hearing aids for customers. May require Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) in some states. Requires a master's degree in audiology. Typically requires Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A). Charlotte Eye Ear Nose & Throat Associates is looking to add a general Audiologist to support our patients in our SouthPark, Belmont, Blakaney, Fort Mill, Huntersville, Lancaster, Matthews, Monroe, Rock Hill, Steele Creek, University, and Uptown offices. We are looking for Audiologists who embody CEENTA's core values and are eager to provide excellent patient care to both pediatric and adult populations. Primary Objective
The Audiologist provides diagnostic and rehabilitation services which help increase CEENTA patients’ overall quality of life through the sense of hearing.

Training Period
The training period will cover training with Epic, CEENTA’s policies and procedures and hearing aid manufacture software and devices. Depending on training availability, training will be approximately one month.

Education
Masters in Audiology required, Au.D preferred.
Experience
Required clinical experience for obtaining Masters in Audiology or Au.D.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
South Carolina/North Carolina Audiology License.
ASHA Clinical Competency Certification preferred.

Supervision

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

A Typical Day in the Position
Using the Epic Audiology schedule for a daily reference, the Audiologist completes scheduled patient appointments. These appointments consist of a rotating mixture of diagnostic testing and providing rehabilitation services throughout the day. The Audiologist also maintains needed daily responsibilities as setting up for needed appointments, answering emails/voicemails, completing amplification duties and completing additional unscheduled appointments when needed.
