Auditing Project Lead leads a group of auditors who identify risk, assess performance, prepare financial reports in various complex auditing projects. Schedules audit plans and builds audit criteria, ensures all auditing activities in accordance with organization's policies and standards. Being an Auditing Project Lead prepares auditing reports and suggestions to management. Provides oversight and guidance for auditors and may be responsible for training staff. Additionally, Auditing Project Lead ensures standard auditing practices are followed. Requires a bachelor's degree. May sometimes require the Certified Public Accountant (CPA)credential. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. The Auditing Project Lead supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Auditing Project Lead typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our team. As a Project Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs and resources required for construction projects. Your expertise in contract negotiation, construction estimating, and cost control will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our projects. Pay determined on experience. Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and identify potential challenges or opportunities
- Utilize construction estimating software, such as AgTek and Blue Beam, to develop comprehensive cost estimates
- Prepare detailed take-offs and quantity surveys for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services
- Research and source pricing information from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost projections
- Evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to determine the most competitive pricing options
- Collaborate with the project management team to develop project budgets and timelines
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures
- Prepare and present cost estimates to clients, highlighting key components and justifications
Experience:
- Proven experience in construction estimating or related field
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices
- Proficiency in cost control techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with industry-standard software such as AgTek and Blue Beam or similar estimating tools
- Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders
- Project management experience is a plus
