Auditing Supervisor supervises the day-to-day execution of a comprehensive enterprise-wide internal auditing strategy, function, and practice adhering to auditing standards and regulatory requirements. Supports auditing teams with resources, training, expertise, and problem-solving help to complete auditing projects. Being an Auditing Supervisor uses auditing governance frameworks and procedures to plan and manage the auditing schedules, projects, teams, and tasks required to meet defined objectives. Engages with other functions across the enterprise, like risk, finance, information technology, and security, to facilitate audits. Additionally, Auditing Supervisor prepares audit reports, documentation, and recommendations for enhanced controls or processes. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require or be working towards a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Typically reports to a manager. The Auditing Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Auditing Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Gas Operations is focused on ensuring the safe and reliable flow of natural gas to our customers. As a whole, Gas Operations is responsible for all aspects of PG&E's gas distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, restoration and emergency response.

    Position Summary

    Gas T&D Operations Leadership is responsible for managing teams directly or indirectly involved in operations & maintenance of the gas transmission and distribution system including completing all unplanned, emergent work and all mandated program work.

    Oversight of personnel performing maintenance work, short-cycle construction work, I&R activities, and all mandated programs.

    Manage teams that work on :

    • Complete all unplanned, emergent work.
    • Execute the required Operations & Maintenance Plan leak survey, leak repair, I&R, locate & mark, corrosion remediation, and patrolling work as listed in the annual workplan.
    • Document completed work to share with Engineering to update Enterprise Systems (GIS)
    • Make minor adjustments to achieve the workplan as defined by the Asset & Resource Management (
    • Communicate concerns regarding scope, schedule, and cost to Resource Management for adjustment.
    • Manage pressure regulation, odorization, instrumentation assets and inform Asset Management of future needs to incorporate into the yearly Asset Plan Address emergency situations that arise as a first responder.
    • Forecast Emergency Work, Maintenance Work, Leak Survey and Leak Repair.
    • Emergency response & fulfillment of Incident Commander role
    • Develop work force strategy (internal & external)
    • Inspect & validate work.

    All leaders provide safe gas services while maintaining compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory requirements.

    Leaders demonstrate safety leadership and promote a safety culture among all employees for themselves, customers, and the public.

    Contribute toward Gas Safety Excellence goals by improving safety, reliability, and affordability for one or more asset families and one or more life cycles.

    This position is a DOT (Department of Transportation) covered classification and is subject to random drug and / or alcohol screening.

    PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting.

    This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.

    Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

    A reasonable salary range is :

    Bay Area Minimum : $129,000

    Bay Area Maximum : $207,000

    Job Responsibilities

    • Manages a team a team of gas craft employees, ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements and alignment with company values.
    • Serves customers by providing timely completion of gas maintenance, gas construction, transmission & regulatory work, and or gas damage control.
    • Manages emergency responses to all requests including equipment maintenance, ensuring employees respond in a timely manner and provide total quality service.
    • Monitors compliance to standards and specifications, to achieve high quality work the first time done. Develops action plans to address deficiencies in process or employee skill / knowledge and tracks the progress of those plans.
    • Ensures work is executed within scope, schedule, and cost expectations.
    • Identifies and pursues productivity improvements and implements work practices to reduce operating costs while meeting corporate and regulatory compliance.
    • Completes and maintains all work documentation and / or reporting.
    • Communicates business goals and objectives to the work group and holds all accountable to same.
    • Develops the business knowledge and technical skills of all field employees. Fosters teamwork within work group and across all company functions.
    • Ensures that customers' needs and expectations are met; ensures clear, professional, proactive communication with customers.
    • Fully implements and holds subordinates accountable for safety best practices and adherence to the safety accountability model.

    Ensures full compliance with the Injury & Illness Prevention Program, working closely with area Safety Program Coordinators.

    Facilitates weekly team meetings / tailboards and adjunct training as needed.

    • Oversees both projects and 2nd party contracting within the area of responsibility.
    • Ensures mandated compliance dates and regulations are met.
    • Reviews leak investigation documents and leak survey maps for accuracy and completeness.
    • Ensures compliance of 1) leak grading and 2) L&M & Leak Survey tools and equipment as required by the CPUC.
    • Leads root-cause investigations on all PG&E at-fault dig-ins and / or reportable events.
    • Monitors the Gas Operator Qualification (OQ) Program and ensures compliance. Maintains craft qualification records for employees, such as welding and plastic fusion as required by CPUC.
    • Ensures all associated paperwork and work packages are accurate.

    Qualifications

    Minimum :

    • High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
    • Job-related experience, 5 years
    • CA Class C License, or equivalent
    • Ability to travel using personal vehicle.
    • Ability to work on-call rotation.
    • Ability to pass federally mandated random drug and alcohol testing.
