Inside Sales / Customer Service Specialist - Salary is Market Based and Competitive

POSITION SUMMARY:

The person in this position will play a lead role and work directly with supervisors and management to ensure customer requests such as quotes and purchase orders are processed correctly according to established company standards. The right individual for this position will desire autonomy in their work, thrive in positions where they can work in multiple areas and display an eagerness to take on new challenges and grow within the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Process purchase order receipts and quote requests in the ERP system with high attention to detail
• Communicate with customers via email and phone regarding their requests
• Reconcile discrepancies/inaccuracies.
• Ability to assist in other areas as needed or required.
• All other duties as assigned.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS:

• Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers by email and verbally.
• The ability to assess a situation, draw a valid conclusion and make sound recommendations and decisions.
• Able to effectively use basic ERP software systems.
• Must display a high aptitude and passion for customer service

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 70lbs on a regular, daily, but not constant basis.
• Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, lift, push, pull and move about the facility.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Requires a minimum of 1 recent continuous year of prior experience working in a sales / customer service role.
• Requires a high level of communication proficiency both written (Microsoft Outlook email) and verbal (communicating with customers in person and by phone)
• Requires a proven work ethic and a desire to take ownership over assigned responsibilities

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work will be performed in the office of a warehouse/plant-type environment.
• Will be required to work well independently and with minimal supervision.

• Regular and consistent attendance is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
