We are a premier designing and fabricating metal establishment specializing in brass, aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, painted steel and composite panels. Our Market includes metal wall systems, column covers, louvers, shade/weathered canopies and architectural elements for the gaming industry, medical facilities, educational establishments, commercial buildings, and resorts throughout the valley. We also specialize in Ornamental Metals that include handrails, guardrails, and decorative fencing.

We are Specifically looking for an experienced Millwork Estimator

Duties:

Estimating cost of a construction projects, support building construction, validate the project’s Scope of Work and negotiating costs

Qualifications:

• Must be a self-starter and have minimal supervision
• Should have critical thinking skills and collaboration team building skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Design Skills, CAD, Cost Accounting, Problem Solving, Quality Focus, Attention to Detail, Conceptual Skills, Informing Others, AutoCAD, Network Maintenance, Strategic Planning
• Must be able to communicate proficiently in English reading and writing but bilingual is a plus
• Should have negotiation skills with ethical conduct
• Efficient with time management and be able to maintain scheduling
• Must have a budget understanding
• Should have 2 years Estimating experience (Metal Industry preferred)
• Must be detailed oriented and thorough
• Have an understanding and experience in estimating costs for the Architectural Metal industry
• Must have PlanSwift and Bluebeam (or similar) experience
• Positive attitude, takes direction well and is a team-oriented worker

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. but can be adjusted as business requirements dictate. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Ideal candidate should have previously worked as an Architectural Metal Cost Estimator, Architectural Estimator, or Construction Estimator.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Reviews construction documents, drawings and specifications and understands scope of work to bid.
• Executes take-offs of construction documents.
• Inputs take-offs into a computer spreadsheet.
• Works with the CAD department for any necessary drawings required for bidding.
• Obtains all pricing for materials.
• Prepares complete cost analysis for projects and submits project bids as required.
• Can provides reasonable estimates and/or product alternatives estimates where predetermined standard(s) are not available,
• Informs client and/or management of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or computer database.
• Develops and maintains resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc.
• Works closely with the project managers.
• Develops vendor relationships.
• Attends departmental meetings as required.
• Photocopies and scans document and plans to maintain both electronic and paper files as necessary as required.
• Prepare take-offs by calculating construction costs.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret engineered plans
• Qualify bids and negotiate subcontractors' costs
• Answer RFIs
• Resolves design and construction problems by providing technical assistance to construction and sales departments.
• Contributes to the overall goal by accomplishing related results as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
