Automotive Mechanic jobs in Dothan, AL
Automotive Mechanic performs maintenance and repairs on automobiles and light trucks. Performs major repairs like body work, chassis and engine repair, and disassembling and assembling components. Being an Automotive Mechanic also performs minor repairs and maintenance work such as replacing worn drive belts, hoses, and filters. Helps diagnose issues, uses electronic indicator systems to identify problems, and performs routine safety checks on brakes, suspension, exhaust, cooling, and other systems. Additionally, Automotive Mechanic adheres to appropriate safety procedures. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically requires a Certificate in Automotive Technology. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Automotive Mechanic works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. ABOUT THIS JOB
You typically work Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Your day-to-day responsibilities revolve around performing accurate, high-quality auto repairs and maintenance services. Working on a wide variety of vehicles, you complete thorough inspections, diagnose issues, and perform the appropriate solutions and services.
