Automotive Mechanic performs maintenance and repairs on automobiles and light trucks. Performs major repairs like body work, chassis and engine repair, and disassembling and assembling components. Being an Automotive Mechanic also performs minor repairs and maintenance work such as replacing worn drive belts, hoses, and filters. Helps diagnose issues, uses electronic indicator systems to identify problems, and performs routine safety checks on brakes, suspension, exhaust, cooling, and other systems. Additionally, Automotive Mechanic adheres to appropriate safety procedures. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically requires a Certificate in Automotive Technology. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Automotive Mechanic works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing basic routine vehicle repair and maintenance services in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications. This position is expected to deliver exceptional 5 Star service to our guests, through effective communication of vehicle issues and proposed solutions while ensuring that guest expectations for time commitments and quality are consistently met.

Change oil, transmission fluid and filters
Install batteries and checks electrical systems
Tire maintenance
Install parts
Road test vehicles
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have Diagnostic Experience
Must have own full set of basic automotive tools with chest
Possess a valid driver's license at ALL times during employment
Show proof of completion of formal automotive repair technical education and previous work experience in the automotive repair field
Possess a ASE Certification in at least one area of expertise OR be willing to obtain certification within one year of hiring date
