General Summary
Automotive Counter person

The General Store is looking for an Automotive enthusiast to join our team. Must have a passion for cars, especially those that require aftermarket parts. If you have a passion for cars, we would like to talk to you!

Purpose:

Parts Counter Sales specialist is responsible for selling and stocking parts and accessories. In addition performs in-store customer service, overall organizational promotion, and stocking duties

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Promotes and sells products and/or services to meet customer needs
Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays
Assists in keeping parts department clean and orderly
Follows up on shortages and expedites issues by reporting to the manager
Customer Service

• Provide positive representation of store.
• Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
• Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers when finished and when they are leaving the store.
• Provide a friendly, outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
• Ensure all calls and pages are answered promptly, courteously and effectively.
• Work to resolve problems with the customer and have store’s best interest taken into consideration.
• Possess excellent product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.

Job Requirements:

Passion for the Car aftermarket industry
Knowledge of engines and their components
Excellent Customer service skills
Ability to build relationships with Customers
Basic data entry/keyboarding skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs.
Stand, walk a minimum of 7 hours per day

Starting Pay $17.00
