General Job Description: The AV-PM will be tasked with reviewing all AV projects and work with the FPM to create an effective AV strategy for project execution. The AV-PM will provide support and guidance to Operations, the FPM, Project Forman, and Team Leads involved with all AV projects. The AV-PM will be able to effectively manage 10-15 active AV operational projects effectively and efficiently. The AV-PM will also provide analysis of any project that experiences a significant budget variance or schedule variance.
Responsibilities will include planning, mobilization, installation support, communication, and project conclusion.
Planning –
- Review all AV Projects with FPM
- Initiate and conduct project kick-off meetings (Internal)
- Identify special requirements and client dependencies and track accordingly.
- Help FPM Identify internal special requirements, dependencies, and track accordingly.
- Programming, Manufacture certification needs, and special installation skills.
- Review all Bill of Materials (BOM) before purchasing to ensure material all materials are included.
- Review any lead time issues with Design Engineer to replace any long lead time items.
Mobilization – with FPM
- Request manpower and project requirements
- Request and have staged any specialty tooling requirements
- Review project SSP with FPM, Lead Technician, and Team Lead
- Coordinate material deliveries consistent with SSP task alignment.
Installation – Quality Control
- Prioritize SSP on projects “start” and “competition”.
- Set projects Quality Control expectations plan.
- Take corrective action as required. (Teaching moment)
- Maintain critical timelines with product availability scheduling.
- Develop a completion list as a guideline for the installation team.
- Ensure that SSP installation is per plans and specifications.
- Conduct periodic quality audits with Forman and Team Leads
Communication – with FPM to client
- Document all scope changes and requests for additional work.
- Communicate with FPM to manage any additional request.
- Communicate with/to Design Engineer any additional needed design help.
- Communicate additional work to help get the Change Order completed for the FPM.
Project Conclusion –
- Help FPM set up, project acceptance signatures from client and training.
- Review equipment list for any unused items, to transfer to another project, or RMA
- Review and confirm that all punch list items are completed and accepted.
- Provide all close out documentation to FPM.
Qualifications:
- A thorough, demonstrable understanding of systems integration and installation techniques
- Demonstrable understanding of general AV system design and best practices
- Experience with audio DSP units
- Experience in commissioning and troubleshooting
- Understanding IP networking and device configuration
- Cabling terminating and testing knowledge
- Able to travel as required.
- Able to balance multiple tasks at one time and to stay focused on the priorities.
- Must have excellent communication and Client facing skills
