AV Technician jobs in the United States

The AV Technician works with producers/directors on design, testing, installation and positioning of equipment and props for live events or meetings. Responsibilities include setting up and adjusting audio-visual equipment, performing routine maintenance, and assisting in editing tapes. Being an AV Technician may require an associate's degree or its equivalent. Maintains accurate record of equipment inventory and troubleshoots equipment problems. In addition, AV Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being an AV Technician gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision. Working as an AV Technician typically requires 1-3 years of related experience or may have 0 years of experience or additional training, or certification.
