Provide Security detail as outlined in the post orders and establish working relationships with customers, local law enforcement, and emergency services. Security Personnel will always perform job duties with a constant awareness of their surroundings, making note of all activity that occur in the assigned area. All Security Personnel must maintain a professional image and always demonstrate excellent customer service.

Basic Functions:
- Control of entry points and movement of all pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
- Patrol of buildings and perimeters.
- Escort of material and personnel.
- Inspection of security and fire exposures.
- Security assignment.
Responsibilities:

Overall general function of officers is to provide security detail as described below. (Note: duties may vary depending on post orders):
- Arriving to post on time with assigned uniform properly worn.
- Maintaining a professional image including greeting all customers, visitors, and employees in a polite, friendly manner.
- Being proactive in knowing all revisions to post orders and general information distributed by the client and Andy Frain Security.
- Patrolling physical property or maintaining a fixed post position, being diligent to report any suspicious activity, and investigating accidents and criminal acts.
- Monitoring cameras or equipment in a continuous fashion as outlined in the post orders.
- Maintaining a working knowledge of all emergency policies, procedures, and regulations to respond to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations.
- Completing Daily Activity Reports (DARs), Log Book entries, Incident Reports, and all relevant reports related to job assignments.
- Communicating to management on improved safety and loss prevention processes as identified during the daily routine.
- Maintaining knowledge of any life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV systems, and other such equipment to complete job assignments. Ensuring continuous and safe operations of all elevators and access doors. Knowing the authorized contractor personnel who are responsible for maintenance and upkeep of specific equipment.
- Ensuring training and compliance guidelines are met as outlined by AFS and other agencies regulating the customer/market.
- Communicating daily with Security Supervisor regarding new Security Issues or changes that need to be considered or implemented.
Minimum Qualifications:
The following are the minimum qualifications that an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Please note that the minimum qualifications may vary based upon the department size and/or geographic location.
- High School Diploma and/or equivalent (GED/HSE).
- Must be willing to submit to a background and drug screen; any offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation.
- Minimum 2 – 4 months prior experience in loss prevention, life safety, CCTV systems or access computer systems.

- An Aviation Security Specialist is to be honest, alert, and well-disciplined as the custodians of employees, customer property, and safety.

Physical Requirements:
In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an Aviation Security Specialist to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to allow for certain ADA requirements.
- Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly in order to communicate with management, employees, and/or other customers.
- Pushing/Pulling/Carrying/Lifting may include up to 30lbs and/or Stair Climbing.
- Ability to twist, turn, bend, stand, climb stairs, and walk as required to perform the duties associated with functioning as an Aviation Security Specialist.
- Normal vision or corrected by use of glasses and/or contacts for normal reading and viewing abilities.
