Pacific Aviation Northwest, Inc. is looking for an Outreach Coordinator/Career Counselor to oversee the implementation of our flight instruction and drone instruction recruitment programs. The Outreach Coordinator/Career Counselor position will collaborate with high schools, colleges, and community partners to deliver educational and career opportunities. Will counsel, plan, direct, and /or coordinate activities designed to create or maintain a favorable public image and raise awareness toward training potential and career opportunities in the aviation field.

Duties:

• Serves as the public face of Pacific Aviation Northwest, Inc.'s outreach program; travel to public events and staff information booths
• Actively organize and seek outreach events to expand our message and brand, including but not limited to career fairs, industry events, school presentations, and youth outreach events
• Deliver presentations designed to both attract and engage students
• Lead outreach efforts, and build and cultivate relationships with educators and community partners
• Conduct research and interviews to access community needs and identify gaps in services or methods
• Prepare and maintain accurate records and provide regular reports on goals/milestones
• Establish and maintain a system of follow-up, through personal contact nd correspondence with students to encourage success
• Work with students and their families navigating available financing options, and provide career guidance
• Provide support to the Program Director and other departments to assist the recruitment program
• Preform additional duties as requested

Requirements:

• Possession of a valid Oregon Driver's license with safe driving record
• Knowledge of aviation industry
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and in writing with attention to detail
• Successful track record of working with youth and young adults
• Computer litercy
• Ability to make decisions with multiple objectives
• Ability to multitask with several project details at once
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including occasional weekend events
• Project management and time management skills
• Ability to schedule with others and coordinate locations for events
• Ability to work without direct management supervision

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Weekends as needed
