What You Will Do:
The Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI) provides instruction to students using a variety of methods that include classroom training and in-flight instruction. Flight Instructors are responsible for ensuring individual student success through the training process and play an integral role in ensuring operational safety. CFIs are responsible for their students' progress in the course of training while keeping their syllabi up to date. There may be occasions where you will be called upon to perform some clerical duties along with your flight instructing responsibilities.
Additional Responsibilities:
Safely operates training aircraft in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and FAA Regs.
Coordinates the flight training schedule with students and staff in compliance with scheduling policies.
Provides and maintains records of necessary pilot endorsements needed to satisfy TSA and FAA.
Maintains individual student records needed for student billing and tracking.
Sets work schedules that align with the student's schedule.
Keep track of hours the aircraft has flown and notify maintenance when inspections are due.
Report to the Chief Instructor for other assigned duties.
OVERVIEW
The Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI) provides ground and flight instruction to students using a variety of methods that include classroom training and in-flight instruction. Flight Instructors are responsible for ensuring the individual student success through the training process of Private, Instrument, and Commercial, Multi-Engine and CFI/CFII pilot training programs. They play an integral role in ensuring operational safety and work closely with the Chief Instructor to enhance the training experience for students. You will be providing professional flight instruction to students training in a Part 61/141 environment. You are responsible for your students progress in the course of training while keeping their syllabi up to date. There may be occasions where you will be called upon to perform some clerical duties along with your flight instructing responsibilities.. You will report to the Chief Flight Instructor who will supervise your activities and progress as an instructor. Your duties will be assigned as directed by the Chief Instructor or his designee.
KEY ROLES

REQUIREMENTS
Ability to comprehend the Part 61 and Part 141 training process and FAA Airman Certification Standards is required
Ability to safely fit and execute flight Instruction duties in training aircraft is required
Current FAA CFI certificate and Flight Review is required
Current 1st, 2nd, or 3rd class Medical Certificate is required
Instrument Instructor (CFII) is required
*Multi-Engine (MEI) certificate is preferred*
