Bakery Manager oversees operations and staffing for the bakery department within a grocery store. Manages pastry making and baking, suggests changes to inventory and pricing, and purchases supplies when needed. Being a Bakery Manager monitors quality of goods and service. Responsible for department staff training, assignments, and scheduling. Additionally, Bakery Manager requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Bakery Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Bakery Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. Iconik Coffee Roasters in Santa Fe, NM is looking for a bakery manager! We are located on 1600 Lena Street. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and engaged.
This position would start as full time then would shift to part time once trained. Full time hours are negotiable.

Responsibilities:
-
*Collaborate creativly on all new and seasonal bakery items *Learn all Iconik recipes, baking and cleaning procedures. *Train all incoming bakers to Iconik standards *Cover baking shifts as needed *Weigh and measure ingredients *Mix and blend batters *Roll, knead, cut, or shape dough to form sweet rolls, pie crusts, tarts, cookies, or other products. *Set oven temperatures and monitor or modify as needed *Ice, glaze, and decorate baked goods *Prepare and maintain inventory *Clean and sanitize workstation and equipment
Qualifications-
*Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills *Attention to detail in all aspects of baking *Dedicated to working as a team to excel and do a great job *Experience as a Baker is a plus *Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Mondays and Tuesdays. Compensation is $22.00 - $24.00/hour.
