Banking & Commercial Loan Processing Manager assists in the management of the loan processing operations team that originates, processes, and closes various types of loans. Implements processes and procedures to maintain accuracy and completeness of required documentation. Being a Banking & Commercial Loan Processing Manager monitors achievement of operating performance metrics and standards for speed, quality, and customer service. Develops solutions to resolve operational issues. Additionally, Banking & Commercial Loan Processing Manager oversees the preparation of reporting for internal departments and external agencies. Coordinates audit requests and processes. Develops training and communication mechanisms that inform the team of regulatory requirements and updates. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Banking & Commercial Loan Processing Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Banking & Commercial Loan Processing Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Mortgage/Consumer Loan Processor

  • North American Banking Company is seeking an experienced individual for a full-time Mortgage Loan Processor position in our Woodbury office. This employee will contribute to the profitability and growth of North American Banking Company by providing quality credit and documentation support, loan file maintenance, and assistance to bank staff. Must possess excellent communication skills and enjoy working with people. Experience with Calyx and Laser Pro a plus.

    Orders credit bureau reports, flood determinations, title work, appraisals and conducts necessary searches and research prior to loan closing including loan application verification and background checks.

    Complete and maintain all paperwork for ongoing and new real estate loans.

    Prepares necessary mortgage loan documentation through Laser Pro software and/or Point. Including applications, disclosures, and closing documentation. Submits completed application and loans to underwriting for approval and ensures all items are obtained. Works with the underwriter to clear conditions.

    Prepares mortgage/real estate loan files and follows up with any missing documentation items, filings, etc.

    Works with compliance officer closely to complete loan compliance related reviews including HMDA and CRA.

    Maintains loan review log for new/renewal consumer and commercial RE loans and completes loan review.

    Maintains compliance record for all new/renewal/modifications for consumer loan files for internal audits.

    Inputs new loans on core system.

    Follows up on expiring insurance to receive updated insurance. Pays insurance invoices for

    loans that that we escrow insurance on.

    Answers bank telephone and provides customer service as needed.

    Works closely with clients and loan originator providing service for in house and secondary market loan files.

    Maintains compliance record for all new/renewal/modifications for consumer loan files for internal audits.

    Actively participates in bank sales promotions and activities, contributing to the achievement of bank established goals.

    Refers loan and investment prospects to the appropriate sales representative within the bank.

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    Two to three years related experience and/or training. Previous mortgage processing skills are required.

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    1. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

    2. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    3. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in a multitude of situations.

    4. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, as well as being able to prioritize assigned duties.

    5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

    6. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, ITI Software, Laser Pro Software, and Point.

    7. Knowledge of applicable bank compliance policies; Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Regulation DD, Regulation Z, Regulation H, RESPA, TRID, and HMDA.

    8. The work environment is typical for an office and does not require exposure to working conditions outside of a typical office environment.
