    The ideal candidate is someone who has the following:

    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in service department leadership
    • Self-motivated with the ability to motivate a team
    • Positive can-do attitude
    • Excellent communicator with other managers, staff, techs, and customers
    • Clear understanding of the key drivers of success for a service department
    • Develop and execute continuous improvement plans for the department
    • Licensed plumber a plus
    • Ability to use job management software, Excel, Word

    What you’ll do:

    • Responsible for working with other company/department leaders in driving sales and profitability
    • Manage day to day activities to ensure the success of field technicians
    • Ensure that field work is performed in a safe, clean, timely, and orderly manner
    • Visit job sites to review job progress and adherence to company standards
    • Provide ongoing training to technicians as necessary
    • Assist field personnel in troubleshooting plumbing & HVAC issues
    • Make certain that all work is conducted according to current regulatory standards
    • Ensure that customer issues and kept to a minimum and resolve same
    • Consistently improve technician time on task
    • Maintain a full staff of technicians with the proper skills
    • Handle disciplinary matters, hiring, and other personnel actions as required
    • Prepare and conduct employee evaluations and reviews
    • Review technician reports on a daily basis; follow-up on recommendations for additional work
