Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Banquet Manager to join our team. As a Banquet Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of banquets and events. This is a key leadership role within our organization, requiring excellent organizational and communication skills.

Duties:

- Plan and coordinate all aspects of banquets and events, including menu selection, food preparation, setup, and breakdown

- Supervise banquet staff, ensuring efficient and professional service

- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in all banquet areas

- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop creative and appealing menus

- Assist in hiring, training, and scheduling banquet staff

- Manage banquet budgets and expenses

- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing any concerns or special requests

- Oversee the setup of banquet rooms, ensuring proper arrangement of tables, chairs, decorations, and audiovisual equipment

- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth execution of events

- Handle any issues or emergencies that may arise during banquets or events

Skills:

- Previous experience as a Banquet Manager or Assistant Manager in a restaurant or similar setting

- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food handling safety regulations

- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills

- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations diplomatically

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

- Proficient in computer software applications related to banquet management

- Knowledge of food service management principles in the hospitality industry
