Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assembly of Hot Melt Bond (HMB) units on the HMB machine, application of various, specified upholstered layers to HMB and open coil units;
foam-encased pocketed coil units; application of specified upholstery layers and final mattress assembly.
Prepare and organize components for final assembly and restock raw materials at point of use.
Perform duties as outlined in established Job Safety Analysis and National Quality Standards and meet established hourly production goals.
Follow departmental housekeeping requirements and leave the work environment and equipment clean at the end of the shift.
Functional / Technical Competencies
Must stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours per day or longer in OT situations as required.
Ability to lift heavy product or raw materials up to 120 lbs multiple times per hour during shift to meet customer demand.
Heavy loads must be team lifts.
Production within the range specified for the position is required to maintain integrity of make- to-order system.
Experience / Education
Demonstrated ability and willingness to work safely, take initiate, multi-task and work both independently and as part of a team.
Experience with pneumatic tools and / or in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Safety Focused, fast-paced manufacturing plant engaged in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement. Clean and Safe work area and exposure to high noise decibels, hot raw materials, fire-retardant materials and limited chemicals.
