Behavioral Health Director jobs in Lowell, MA

Behavioral Health Director oversees the study and treatment of patients with emotional, mental, or psychological disorders. Develops, implements, and updates strategic initiatives, programs, and services. Being a Behavioral Health Director manages and directs the operations of behavioral health services. Uses knowledge of behavioral health research and trends to ensure the department's practices are up-to-date and effective. Additionally, Behavioral Health Director establishes training programs and supports and supervises staff. Ensures all behavioral health operations comply with clinical guidelines and regulations. Requires an advanced degree in psychology or related field. Typically reports to top management. The Behavioral Health Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Behavioral Health Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.   • Job Summary:

    We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Director to help lead our organization who has a comprehensive understanding of the day to day of an outpatient facility for Mental Health and Substance Abuse. The Assistant Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our operations, including strategic planning, project management, business development, and operations management. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a proven track record in senior leadership roles.

    Must Have:

    -Experience working in an Out Patient Facility.

    Duties:

    - Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives

    - Provide guidance and support to department heads to ensure effective execution of projects and initiatives

    - Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by implementing processes and systems that drive efficiency and effectiveness

    - Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including board members, donors, community partners, and government agencies

    - Collaborate with the board of directors to develop policies, procedures, and governance structures that align with best practices

    - Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of staff members to ensure a high-performing team

    Skills:

    - Strong leadership abilities with the ability to inspire and motivate others towards achieving organizational goals

    - Proven experience in strategic planning, project management, and business development

    - Excellent negotiation skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and secure partnerships or funding opportunities

    - Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement initiatives to enhance organizational efficiency.

    - Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to diverse audiences

    - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make timely decisions based on data-driven insights
