What we are looking for:
The Benefits Coordinator will support Grammer Corporate and the Plants in a shared services role. They will partner with employees and management to communicate various benefits related human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and other government regulations.
Primary Functions
- Analyze, and administer Grammer’s employee benefits programs - healthcare, wellness programs, HSA’s, 401(k) and profit-sharing plan.
- Assist with the annual benefit renewal process, preparing open enrollment launch materials, etc. Act as the point of contact for all open enrollment related questions.
- Advise employees and respond to benefit related questions and claim issues. Ensure a timely resolution of any concerns raised by employees and/or partners.
- Act as the primary liaison between employees/partners and insurance providers and/or brokers for benefit related questions. Maintain employee benefits systems and ensure new hire enrollments, life events, and terminations are entered and processed accurately.
- Review and process monthly invoices
- Conduct benefits orientations for new hires.
- Prepare the biweekly payroll changes sheet within the agreed timeframes and provide all necessary data to the payroll team.
- Complete salary and benefit surveys/conduct market research to ensure the firm remains competitive.
- Prepare and process employee leave of absence paperwork.
- Reconcile benefits deductions with the payroll team and coordinate appropriate deduction schedule.
What We Need from You:
- Associates degree required, Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, or a related field preferred
- 2-4 years of experience in employee benefits and HR.
- Experience providing communication of programs and driving resolution of issues related to employee concerns regarding payroll, benefits and other employee programs.
- Maintains employee data in various systems and tools.
- Detail-oriented with demonstrated project management and strong analytical skills.
- Strong Excel skills are a must.
- Excellent communications (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and to successfully complete projects and initiatives in required time frames.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment as well as being an effective team player.
- Experience with Unions a plus.
- Strong PC knowledge and skills: Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
