Position Summary: The Benefits Analyst will play a critical role in administering employee benefits programs and ensuring that our workforce receives comprehensive and competitive benefits packages. They are responsible for the coordination of communication with employees, managers, and benefit vendors. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of benefits administration processes. This role reports to the People Operations Manager.
What You Will Do:
Administer all aspects of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, and al other voluntary benefits.
Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefit inquiries, enrollment, and changes by providing timely and accurate information and guidance. Inform, advise, educate, and empower employees regarding all benefits offered.
Coordinate the open enrollment process, including working with our insurance broker to prepare communication materials, conducting employee meetings, and managing enrollment in Workday.
Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with benefits vendors, brokers, and carriers to resolve issues, address inquiries, and ensure the smooth administration of benefits programs.
Conduct regular audits and reviews of benefits data to ensure accuracy and integrity, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed.
Assist with the development and implementation of benefits policies, procedures, and initiatives to enhance the overall employee experience.
Stay informed about changes in benefits regulations, laws, and industry trends, recommending adjustments to benefits programs as necessary.
Provide support and guidance to employees regarding leaves of absence, coordinating with our leave of absence vendor to ensure a smooth employee experience.
Assist with the administration of wellness programs, initiatives, and events to promote employee health and well-being.
Analyze trends and provide plan design recommendations to leadership based on claims analysis and industry/market trends.
What You Will Bring:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or a demonstrated equivalent level of experience preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Experience administering self-insured plans highly desirable.
Strong understanding of employee benefits programs and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in benefits administration in Workday highly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and an ability to multitask and handle tasks with competing priorities effectively.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Knowledge of benefits regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, and COBRA.
Professional certification in benefits administration is a plus.
Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred

Primarily office environment: Occasionally may need to interact with employees in a manufacturing environment. Plant floor characterized by temperature extremes, consistent low to moderately loud noise levels, and considerable low motor traffic or moving equipment.
