Title: Account Manager
Responsibilities:
· Manage all aspects of service delivery to assigned book of business, ensuring client needs are met according to service timelines, and setting appropriate internal and external expectations.
· Manage the client renewal process, assembling the appropriate internal and external resources to develop and implement the client-specific renewal strategy.
· Build and maintain relationships with clients’ executive teams (C-Suite).
· Ensure implementation and annual service calendar deliverable timelines are met.
· Understand all Capstone products and services and maintain knowledge of carrier/vendor products and services, to provide appropriate benefit plan solutions to clients.
· May act as subject matter expert (SME) on:
o Fully insured carriers, products and processes and/or self-funded plans, TPAs and processes.
o Voluntary and/or worksite products.
o New and/or existing systems/products introduced as part of the Capstone product offerings.
· Organize and manage tasks and open items relating to client strategy, plan design, and renewal timelines.
· Analyze available data (CedarGate, carrier reports, etc.) and prepare and deliver financial reporting to clients at agreed upon intervals.
· Conduct and lead client meetings, such as annual reviews and standing touch-base meetings.
· Monitor employee benefit trends and make strategic recommendations to improve the effectiveness of plan design, as well as overall benefit programs.
· Oversee the product marketing process and manage final negotiation with carriers.
· Provide high level client/member issue resolution. Work with team/carriers/vendors to improve client service.
· Provide oversight to ensure all aspects of client management are completed accurately and in a timely manner, following established processes/procedures.
· Conduct contract and plan document reviews.
· Provide peer review of all client facing deliverables.
· Act with professionalism and integrity, and work with client and internal team members in a consultative manner.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree or significant relevant experience
· Minimum 2 years of account management or leadership experience in the insurance industry, specifically in employee benefits.
· Licensed agent for Life, Accident and Health coverage (with the state of Georgia preferred).
· Strong working knowledge of employee benefits, with an understanding of medical funding options and employee benefits compliance requirements.
· Excellent Microsoft suite skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams). Salesforce experience is a plus.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and problem solve, with excellent organization and communication skills.
· Ability to act as a mentor to team members.
· Ability to travel overnight at various times throughout the year based on client need.
