A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BEREAVENMENT COORDINATOR
As a Bereavement Coordinator you will coordinate the assessment and delivery grief counseling needs and services to ensure timely and appropriate services are provided to family/caregivers. Plan for Bereavement Program development, expansion and refinement through annual evaluations of service. You will be helping with hospice personnel coping with work-related grief through counseling and referral to community services. Also, maintain community resource list as needed. Assist as needed in evaluating and planning service to meet hospice support needs ie., yearly treats, weekly support groups. You will need to work independently but seek guidance from other members or from the members of the community. Participate in in-service education, hospice personnel meetings and relevant committees. Accepts and performs other related dutied and responsibilities.
