Billing Analyst jobs in Norfolk, VA

The Billing Analyst II will be responsible for the oversight and preparation of billing for a variety of government and commercial contracts. This is a high energy and dynamic business environment and the successful candidate should feel comfortable in this environment. In addition to working with multiple remote locations.

Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Gathering and organization of supporting documentation for government invoicing
• Itemization and computation of accounting records for Operations
• Compliance with Finance and AR Policy and Procedures
• Coordinates correction action items between Operations, Accounts Payable and Payroll Departments
• Assembling and scanning final billings and documentation for customer review
• Processing invoices for assigned area of responsibility
• Analyzing unbilled reports & provide reasons for unbilled variances
• Researching and resubmitting invoices that are short paid by payment offices
• Interact with functional departments to resolve billing issues
• Prepare billing reconciliations
• Meet critical deadlines and achieve departmental goals and objectives
• Professional communication skills with internal and external customers
• Understanding of government contract terminology
• Ability to handle multiple invoicing types (CPFF, T&M, FFP, Hybrid)
• Ability to troubleshoot billing errors independently
• Other duties as assigned

• Must have Cost Point Experience
• Must have experience with multiple Government websites including WAWF, GFEBS, MyInvoice, GSA, ADP and IPP
• Experience doing electronic data entry into accounting system software.
• Electronic and documentation research capabilities
• Ability to research and reconcile GL accounts to invoicing
• Must be detail oriented and able to organize multiple documents for submittal to government client
• Effective communications skills to work with both operational and finance team members
