Performance Team and Damco Distribution, now part of the Maersk global organization under a combined Warehousing & Distribution division, offer third party logistics services to over 500 customers. Encompassing almost 15 million square feet of warehousing capacity throughout the country and a large transportation segment capturing a variety of services, we have key supply chain hubs in the Los Angeles and New Jersey/New York areas, and other facilities along the Western & Eastern coasts along with multiple locations in the Midwest. Delivering significant sales and profitability growth, we will drive the Inland Logistics and Services business for the combined US business units for Maersk.

• Reads computer files or gathers records such as purchase orders, sales tickets, and charge slips, to compile needed data.
• Enters information into computer or computes amounts due.
• Prepares invoices, listing items sold, amounts due, credit terms, and dates of shipment.
• Prepares bills of lading and lists weight and serial number of items sold. Prepares shipping labels.
• Prepares credit memorandums to indicate returned or incorrectly billed merchandise. Prepares credit forms for customers or finance companies.
• Posts transactions to accounting records such as work sheet, ledger, or computer files.
• General understanding of facility accounts.
• Gather records (tickets, purchase orders, change slips).
• Prepares credit memos.
• Research chargeback data.
• Assist with general office functions as needed.

High School Diploma. One year billing clerk experience. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
