We are looking for a experienced accounts receivable specialist with payment posting experience to assist account managers. Accounts receivable and payment posting specialist must have a minimum of 3 years experience.

We offer a 401K and company matching, paid time off, paid vacation, paid holidays. Compensation is based on experience and knowledge. We are a Podiatry base billing company so if you have knowledge of the specialty this is a major bonus, but not necessary. Capabilities of quick learning of the specialty is necessary.

Knowledge and ability to learn multiple billing software's is very helpful. Experience in eClinicalWorks, TrakNet, NextGen, Health Fusion, Sammy, Athena, Medisoft, Practice EHR, RXNT, Modernizing Medicine, MediTab is a plus.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Posting payments from patients and insurance companies to each patients account.
• Reviewing and scrubbing medical claims for CPT, ICD-10, codes, Modifiers etc, correcting if necessary.
• Resubmitting of billing data to insurance carriers
• Work claims and claim denials to ensure maximum reimbursement for services provided
• Answering the office phone and helping callers with billing questions, insurance inquiries
• Respect patient privacy by keeping all information and records collected from patients highly confidential and use them only for official purposes when necessary.
• Phone calls to the insurance carriers for A/R follow up on claims and appeals
• Writing appeal letters and disputes. Filing complaints with the state insurance administration
• Assisting in the setup of clearinghouses for clients
• Assisting with the onboarding process of new clients such as setting up website accesses to insurance companies

Requirements:

• Prior experience in medical billing required
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Excellent telephone etiquette and written/verbal communication skills
• Exhibit punctuality
• Proficient in both Microsoft Word and Excel or similar program
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong follow-up skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Overall a team player that works well with others
