Bindery Technician performs various machine and manual operations to complete print binding and finishing processes. Completes tasks including measuring, cutting, collating, inserting, folding, stapling, or gluing to produce finished bound products. Being a Bindery Technician sets up, operates, tends, and maintains bindery equipment. Inspects equipment for malfunctions, troubleshoots and resolves problems. Additionally, Bindery Technician follows all required quality and safety procedures. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Bindery Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Primary Objective of Position:
To delivery and/or retrieve print media materials for university customers and provide support to all areas of production as needed.
Work Hours: Monday-Friday (8am-5pm)

Required Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent and one year related experience. Completion of defensive driver course within 30 days of hire. Must possess current Texas Class “C” driver’s license.
Equipment:
Operation of university vehicles, trucks or vans. Standard digital print and bindery production machinery
Working Environment:
Driving vehicles sometimes under adverse weather conditions
Continuous reaching, standing and moving.
Ability to move and lift up to 50 lbs
