  • RESCOM Environmental Corp (RESCOM) is seeking an experienced Biologist to join its growing nationwide environmental consulting team to work the front lines of environmental conservation and preservation. RESCOM is a full-service environmental consulting firm conducting nationwide property assessments and mitigations for such industries as telecommunications, real estate, infrastructure, and energy. RESCOM provides environmental regulatory advice in the form of practical reports which protect clients from environmental liability.

    The Job

    RESCOM Environmental Corp is seeking a full-time or contract Biologist to work remotely from a home office with travel to project locations for field surveys.

    The Biologist will conduct field surveys and prepare reports. Travel expenses are paid for by RESCOM and home office equipment is provided. Office work includes communications with government agencies and stakeholders as well as background research and report preparation.

    Starting pay for this position is $22-30 per hour depending on experience.

    For full-time employees, benefits include medical insurance and paid time off in the form of vacation pay, personal time, and paid holidays. Staff are eligible for medical insurance on day one and the monthly premium is paid in full by RESCOM.

    Typical Job Duties:

    Complete fieldwork for Biological Assessments and National Environmental Policy Act Assessments (NEPAs).

    Conduct background research.

    Create coherent, organized reports from background research and field findings.

    Update trackers and databases.

    Communicate with stakeholders.

    Communicate with project teams.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    A Bachelor’s Degree in Biology.

    Three to 10 years of biological survey and report preparation experience.

    Experience in Northern Spotted Owl survey.

    Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

    Strong writing and editing skills.

    Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe software, and GIS.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Wetland experience.

    Experience conducting bat habitat studies.

    Knowledge of NEPA guidelines.
