Biomedical Engineering Director directs and coordinates biomedical equipment service operations that provide lifecycle management of biomedical clinical and research equipment including safety testing, repair, maintenance, and user support. Establishes standards and procedures for equipment maintenance, testing, calibration, documentation, and inventory processes. Being a Biomedical Engineering Director provides technical leadership and develops applicable training and resources for medical staff to ensure correct and safe operations of all equipment and devices. Works with vendors to maintain up-to-date information about new products and equipment upgrades. Additionally, Biomedical Engineering Director supports the equipment needs of all specialty areas including Radiology, Clinical Pathology, Cardiology, Respiratory Therapy, and others. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. The Biomedical Engineering Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Biomedical Engineering Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     About You

    We’re seeking a result-focused, innovative, self-driven, and well-qualified individual to join our talented team as our Global Talent Management Director. Based out of our Torrington Connecticut location, you will foster a high-performing, people-focused culture. This involves leading process excellence of talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, and training. You'll be a hands-on leader, aligning global strategies with business goals and offering day-to-day guidance and support to HR team and business leaders to build an innovative workforce.

    In addition, you will:

    Redefine how we attract and retain top talent, using customer experience (CX) techniques to improve recruitment, selection, and onboarding. Measure success with qualitative and quantitative tools.

    Enhance Talent Processes by constantly seeking to drive efficiency and value. Work closely with HR and cross-functional teams to spot improvement opportunities, fostering a culture of continuous learning and adaptation.

    Promote Teamwork and Inclusivity by leading the development of solutions for better employee engagement and performance management. Encourage collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving, while focusing on innovative outcomes.

    Optimize Talent Processes and Supporting Technology by identifying and implementing solutions to improve talent management, aiming to enhance both employee and manager experiences. Align these tools with business and performance goals.

    Manage Performance Evaluation Systems to track and enhance employee performance. Develop coaching and mentoring frameworks for team members, focusing on key success factors and growth targets.

    Foster a Positive Work Environment by creating a motivating and engaging work atmosphere to boost satisfaction and productivity. Build strong relationships across all levels to support learning and development, aligning with strategic goals.

    Build Workforce Competencies through strategic design and implementation of learning programs to improve business knowledge, interpersonal skills, and technical expertise, contributing significantly to the organization’s talent objectives.

    Requirements

    You should have:

    BS or BA Degree, Masters preferred – or equivalent experience

    PHR or SHRM-CP preferred

    10 years of progressive HR/organizational development experience; 5 years as manager

    7 years of experience supporting manufacturing, supply chain, and functional organizations.

    Demonstrated experience in talent management strategy and operational excellence

    Expertise in recruitment, assessment, selection, including global exposure.

    Strong understanding of performance management practices and business operations.

    Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

    Ability to adapt to changing business needs and global talent trends.

    BS or BA Degree, Masters preferred – or equivalent experience

    PHR or SHRM-CP preferred

    Strategic thinking to align HR initiatives with organizational goals.

    Strong leadership skills to inspire and guide the HR team.

    Travel Requirements: Up to 20%; intercontinental travel is required

    This role is hybrid and will require regular onsite presence at our Torrington, CT and/or Charlotte, NC locations. The ideal candidate would be in a commutable distance to one of our office locations, or willing to relocate.

    Salary Range: $141,322 - $179,022
