We have an immediate opening for a Director of Engineering, to join our amazing Executive Team, join us today!

This is an Executive Committee (EC) position, with Salary Bonus compensation structure

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive friendly courteous and service oriented manner.
• Focus the Engineering /Security Departments on their role in contributing to guest service scores.
• Establish ongoing training for all departments especially Housekeeping, Front Desk and Kitchen to maintain basic upkeep of their departments and equipment.
• Coordinate all inspections of the fire safety systems including extinguishers smoke alarms etc. to maintain proper safety standards.
• Manage energy expenses and continually work towards energy conservation.
• Ensure that the Preventative Maintenance program is implemented and administered
• Immediately follow up on any alarms to determine the exact location and cause; determine emergency status and report to Guest Services and/or the General Manager with findings.
• Ensure that pool and spa are in compliance with area health codes.
• Chair Safety Committee as well as help coordinate fire drills and the training of all employees on safety procedures.
• Perform any other duties as requested by the General Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
• Current Certification as required by Federal State or Local governing agents pertaining to trade requirements (i.e. HVAC, Certified Pool Operator, or Electrical)
• Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions.
• Proficient computer skills; for report writing and Maintenance application entry
• Flexibility of schedules: must be available evenings, weekends and holidays

Proud EOE / Pay is up to $115/DOE

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
