Biomedical Engineering Director directs and coordinates biomedical equipment service operations that provide lifecycle management of biomedical clinical and research equipment including safety testing, repair, maintenance, and user support. Establishes standards and procedures for equipment maintenance, testing, calibration, documentation, and inventory processes. Being a Biomedical Engineering Director provides technical leadership and develops applicable training and resources for medical staff to ensure correct and safe operations of all equipment and devices. Works with vendors to maintain up-to-date information about new products and equipment upgrades. Additionally, Biomedical Engineering Director supports the equipment needs of all specialty areas including Radiology, Clinical Pathology, Cardiology, Respiratory Therapy, and others. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. The Biomedical Engineering Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Biomedical Engineering Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.   • JOB SUMMARY:

    SkyeTec Engineering Services is currently looking for driven, confident and hardworking team members to fill the position of Third Party Inspector. In this role, you will conduct daily field inspections for residential projects. The work involves visual inspections during various stages of construction to confirm compliance with the approved design plans. Additionally, the Inspector is responsible for documenting observed conditions and completing inspection reports. This is a field position and travel within the assigned area is required for inspections and/or managing projects.

    Prospective applicants must be able to read blueprints, understand construction methods, be self-driven, be able to work independently, be able to work on multiple projects concurrently, and produce accurate results while meeting deadlines!

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Perform visual inspections of residential construction in accordance with client requirements and company standards
    • Coordinate with Project Coordinator team to update inspection status and for timely completion; and inform Project Coordinator team and clients of pass/fail inspection results
    • Prepare and maintain all required records and reports
    • Work with Project Coordinator team and clients to establish daily inspection schedules based on inspection types, locality, and priority
    • Assist with other inspection services as assigned
    • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients
    • Escalate client concerns to immediate supervisor for prompt resolution

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform other related duties as assigned
    • Adhere to company communication standards
    • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
    • Coordinate with supervisors, managers, Project Coordinators, clients and other stakeholders
    Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    • Detail-orientated
    • Ability to describe in detail observations made at a job site
    • Ability to read blueprints and other construction documents
    • Good understanding of residential construction materials and methods including concrete, masonry, wood framing, and stucco
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Clear and effective oral and written communication skills
    • Good time-management and organizational skills
    • Professional and team orientated
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Computer skills, including typing or browsing
    • Must be able to exert 25-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move equipment and other objects
    • Current driver’s license; clean driving record
    • Ability and willingness to travel
    • Good understanding of local Building Codes and regulations is preferred, but not required

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
    • 5 years minimum of construction related experience is required
    • Building Inspector License (BN) is preferred, but not required
    • Possess OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour certification or the ability to obtain within 3 months of hire
