ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain programs on all automated assembly equipment in the SMT area including:
  • Stencil development and approval
  • SMT pick and place programs.
  • Reflow oven profiling.
• Troubleshoot and repair system errors that occur during the manufacturing process.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on SMT systems utilizing online CMMS.
• Assist the Advanced Manufacturing Manager with equipment installations and startups.
• Develop written work instructions for equipment on the manufacturing floor.
• Monitor manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Recommend corrective or preventative actions to improve both product quality and reliability.
• Train production operators on new processes and refresh operators’ training on existing processes.
• Assist the Advanced Manufacturing Manager with prototype and pre-production builds.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 4 years manufacturing experience with a focus on SMT process and support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Significant proficiency with computers and with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, CAD systems, Gerber translation systems, and Google Chrome.

Successful working knowledge of SMT Programming – MPM and Samsung systems a plus

Basic working knowledge of SMT assembly process

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Basic working knowledge of schematics and mechanical drawings

Initiative – Ability to identify things that need to be done, follow CMMS scheduling, and handle tasks without constant supervision.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Employees are regularly required to sit, stand, and walk, use hands and fingers, talk, hear, and kneel while working on equipment.
• The employee will occasionally be required to bend and reach with hands and arms.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
• Occasionally lifting boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
