Biomedical Engineering Technician delivers biomedical equipment services that provide safety testing, repair, maintenance, and user support of biomedical clinical and research equipment. Assembles, installs, repairs, and maintains a variety of medical equipment. Being a Biomedical Engineering Technician tests the functionality of equipment and takes accuracy, sensitivity, and selectivity measurements to calibrate devices. Coordinates with medical staff and vendors to troubleshoot problems, resolve equipment malfunctions and enable new devices. Additionally, Biomedical Engineering Technician supports medical staff with equipment operations training. Typically requires an associate degree. Typically requires Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Biomedical Engineering Technician works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.     What You'll Do

    As an Engineering Technician, your exposure to a wide variety of responsibilities may include but not be limited to:

    • Perform routine quality control test procedures including concrete and nuclear moisture / density testing.
    • Complete and submit daily reports and Job Hazard Analysis forms.
    • Follow all corporate and job site safety procedures.
    • Become familiar with applicable plans and specifications.
    • Notify supervisor or Project Manager immediately of problems and deviations from plans and specifications.
    • Frequent exposure to clients.
    • May occasionally attend job site related meetings.
    • May occasionally perform routine testing in the lab.

    Desired Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Construction-related training or technical training desirable.
    • Certifications in Concrete and Soil preferred.
    • Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
    • Must possess the ability to read, write and perform basic math.
    • Must be comfortable communicating with the public.
    • Must be comfortable performing basic computer functions.
    • Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments.
