Biomedical Engineering Technician delivers biomedical equipment services that provide safety testing, repair, maintenance, and user support of biomedical clinical and research equipment. Assembles, installs, repairs, and maintains a variety of medical equipment. Being a Biomedical Engineering Technician tests the functionality of equipment and takes accuracy, sensitivity, and selectivity measurements to calibrate devices. Coordinates with medical staff and vendors to troubleshoot problems, resolve equipment malfunctions and enable new devices. Additionally, Biomedical Engineering Technician supports medical staff with equipment operations training. Typically requires an associate degree. Typically requires Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Biomedical Engineering Technician works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.     Responsibilities:
    • Design of municipal civil and environmental engineering projects using AutoCAD and relevant modeling software technology.
    • Perform and document engineering calculations.
    • Assist in the preparation of technical specification materials.
    • Support staff by completing design details and construction plan sets.
    • Complete field observation, inspection, survey, and data collection duties.
    • Assist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates.
    • Maintain accuracy and quality in work.
    • The position requires a self-motivated, talented, dependable, detail-oriented, dedicated Engineer Technician who is able to multitask in a casual office environment that promotes both personal and professional development.

    Qualifications:
    • AAS degree in civil technologies is preferred.
    • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Practiced in AutoCAD Civil 3D and associated tools.
    • Competent in Windows Operation System, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Ability to work and communicate successfully in a team environment.
    • Quality and accuracy shall be maintained in all work.
    • All other tasks required to provide excellent service to clients.
