Biomedical Photographer performs wide variety of photographic functions in a medical setting. Takes photographs and prepares images, slides, or prints of subjects used for archives, educational materials, legal proceedings, and scientific literature. Being a Biomedical Photographer photographs patients, operating room procedures, autopsy and laboratory specimens and other medical subjects. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, Biomedical Photographer may require a technical certification. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Biomedical Photographer works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Job Summary |
Under the direction of the Healthcare Technology Manager, performs technical work of moderate difficulty in the maintenance and repair of Healthcare Technology within the Shannon Health System. Knowledge of fundamentals of electronics, use of test calibration equipment, preform maintenance, ability to troubleshoot medical devices, and repair basic medical equipment e.g., IV pumps, sequential compression devices, suction regulators, and various non-specialized medical devices.
