This role is vital and serves as a key conduit between the executive management and the board of directors. This position is central to ensuring effective communication, meticulous organization, and the preservation of integrity and honesty within our operations. The candidate will support our executive leadership and board of directors in achieving our organizational goals.

    Essential Job Responsibilities

    Board Liaison

    · Serve as the primary point of contact for communications between the board of directors, executive management, and other stakeholders.

    · Organize, maintain, and ensure the confidentiality of all board-related documents, communications, and meeting minutes.

    · Coordinate the gathering, preparation, and distribution of board materials and executive presentations.

    · Manage logistics for board and committee meetings, including scheduling, meal ordering, venue selection, accommodations, and travel arrangements as necessary.

    · Manage and coordinate any shareholder meetings

    · Coordinate election process with board of directors, election judge, and inspector of elections

    · Manage and coordinate the annual review and revision (if necessary) of Appendix A


    Executive Assistant

    · Provide comprehensive administrative and executive support to the CEO, including managing schedules, appointments, and time efficiently to ensure optimal productivity.

    · Assist in various administrative tasks and support roles within a small office environment, adapting to diverse duties as assigned.


    Additional Duties:

    · Engage in special projects and perform additional duties as required by the CEO and board of directors.


    Qualifications

    · Prior experience with an ANC board or tribal council board is highly preferred.

    · Over 7 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.

    · Knowledge of or willingness to learn Robert's Rules of Order for board minute-keeping.

    · Superior communication skills with an emphasis on clarity and professionalism in both written and verbal forms.

    · Comprehension and application of legal and technical documents.

    · Demonstrated honesty, integrity, and the ability to manage confidential information discreetly.

    · Exceptionally organized with meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

    · Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a basic understanding of computer navigation are must-have skills.

    · High school diploma or equivalent; advanced education or certification in administrative roles is a plus.

    · Residence in or near Eagle River, Alaska, is a plus.

    · Openness to occasional travel.
