Purpose:

The Insurance and Bond Specialist, at the direction of Risk Manager, will assist with the company s insurance program, mainly subcontractor insurance and bonds, assessing and identifying risks as it relates to subcontractor limits and coverages and payment and performance bonds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Secure, review, and track furnished insurance policies, endorsements, and certificates of insurance for all subcontractors, vendors and material suppliers in accordance with their contractual agreements.

• Secure, review, and track furnished subcontractor payment and performance bonds to ensure compliance with the subcontract agreement.

• Support in ensuring proper risk transfer as it relates to subcontractor coverages, limits and endorsements.

• Monitor and perform periodic audits of contract and insurance compliance to ensure all policies are up to date and current and/or compliant.
• Recommend any necessary improvements to the current administrative process regarding insurance.
• Generate a weekly report for subcontractor payment and performance bonds.
• Generate a weekly report for subcontractor insurance compliance.
• Support Risk Manager in preparing content and contribute to training related to the subcontractor insurance and bond discipline in the company s training programs, as needed.
• Support efforts to provide information necessary to support work performed by carrier auditors and financial staff.
• Prepare content for the safety program, when needed.
• Provide support in entering and tracking information in the safety training platform, when needed.
• Provide day-to-day support to the Risk Management Team.
• Performs other duties as directed.
