Bond Trading Manager manages and leads a group of bond traders responsible for the timely buying and selling of government or corporate bonds. Reviews orders to ensure accuracy, proper record keeping, and conformance to regulations. Being a Bond Trading Manager evaluates market volatility and ensures clients receive the best rate available. Develops programs and strategies to increase profitability. Additionally, Bond Trading Manager keeps abreast of market conditions. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a director. The Bond Trading Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Bond Trading Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.   • Summary

    Provides technical support to department personnel in processing bond policies. Such serving will include verbal and written communication internally with staff and externally with current clients and other office support activities.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Client/Policy Services
    Provides daily support to Account Managers and bond accounts.
    Responsibilities include:
    • Learning bond service standards and procedures
    • Accessing bond and agency managements systems and carrier websites and preparing bonds on such systems
    • Assisting Account Managers with requests & executing bonds
    • Maintaining renewal and expiration information
    • Maintaining and updating financial underwriting information
    • Aiding in monitoring accounts receivables and collections
    • Maintaining bid results
    • Preparing accurate commission statements for producers

    File Management
    Responsibilities include:
    • Documenting all correspondence, follow up for necessary information updates at appropriate times, and keep the client files organized and up to date.

    Works together with team. Manages time off to work with departmental needs. Volunteers to back up and/or assist others as needed.

    Education and/or Experience
