We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks. This is a vital role within our organization, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.
Duties:
- Perform general bookkeeping duties, including but not limited to:
- Recording financial transactions in accounting software
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconciling bank statements and credit card statements
- Generating financial reports as needed
- Conduct account analysis to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Assist with tax preparation and filing
- Utilize knowledge of debits and credits to accurately record financial transactions
- Proficiently use accounting software, such as Sage, to manage financial data
- Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Implement double-entry bookkeeping principles to ensure accurate recording of financial information
- Process payroll and maintain payroll records
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing clients and following up on outstanding payments
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in public accounting or a similar role is preferred
- Strong understanding of account analysis and reconciliation processes
- Proficiency in using accounting software, particularly Sage, is highly desired
- Solid knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Experience with payroll processing is beneficial
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in recording financial data
