Overview: We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting principles and practices, is detail-oriented, and possesses excellent organizational skills. Duties: - Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling accounts - Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements - Perform journal entries and maintain accurate records of financial transactions - Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes - Process payroll and ensure accurate calculation of wages, taxes, and deductions - Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with applicable laws and regulations - Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting - Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries Requirements: - Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP) - Proficiency in accounting software such as Quicken or QuickBooks - Familiarity with corporate accounting procedures and governmental accounting regulations is a plus - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team - Solid understanding of payroll processes and tax regulations Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
