Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles. Responsibilities: - Maintain and update general ledger accounts - Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments - Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts - Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting - Process payroll and ensure accurate calculation of employee wages - Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements - Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data - Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation - Monitor and analyze financial transactions for discrepancies or errors - Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices - Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - Solid understanding of balance sheet reconciliation, budgeting, and account reconciliation - Familiarity with payroll processing and financial report writing - Previous experience in public accounting or as an accounting clerk is a plus - Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) - Knowledge of general ledger accounting and debits/credits We offer competitive compensation based on experience. Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
