Balances ledgers, reconciles accounts, and prepares reports to show receipts, expenditures, accounts receivable, and payable. Being a Bookkeeper follows bookkeeping procedures established by the organization. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Additionally, Bookkeeper typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Bookkeeper works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Position Summary: A knowledgeable bookkeeper to manage all tithes and gifts to the church, process payroll, and accounts payable. Additionally, the bookkeeper maintains financial records of purchases by the church, prepares periodic giving statements, and bank reconciliation.
