Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial concepts, as well as experience with various administrative tasks. This position will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments
- Conduct balance sheet and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Provide administrative support such as managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and making travel arrangements
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records and files, both electronic and physical
- Assist with special projects as assigned by management
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate accounting or public accounting
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial concepts
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as QB or similar platforms
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
