Bookkeeper Overview:

MVI is seeking a self-motivated, experienced Bookkeeper to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day financial transactions including, verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables’ data.
• Help with daily cash management and reconciliation.
• May maintain fixed asset data and reconcile fixed asset data to the general ledger.
• Maintain various spreadsheets including prepaid insurance and accrued taxes.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare month-end journal entries.
• Assist in collections oversight.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to work alone and with others.
• Must be able to multitask and to manage multiple priorities.
• Must have excellent organizational skills and focus on accuracy.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently with internal and external customers.
• Follows financial policies and procedures for accounts receivable verification.

• Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
• Protects the organization's values by keeping information confidential.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Other requirements may be needed based on company needs.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Three to five years of bookkeeping experience required or an Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, preferred

• Intacct Accounting Software experience, preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft applications and Microsoft Excel proficiency required
• Proficient using MAC
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and an understating of accounting financial reports.
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
