Bookkeeper, Sr. maintains and records a complete and systematic set of business transactions. Balances ledgers, reconciles accounts, and prepares reports to show receipts, expenditures, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Being a Bookkeeper, Sr. follows bookkeeping procedures established by the organization. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Additionally, Bookkeeper, Sr. typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Bookkeeper, Sr. works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Rutland Country Club is looking for an organized, detail oriented bookkeeper to perform all the daily and monthly accounting operations such as cash posting, membership billing, enrolling new members in POS, bank reconciliations, assist with yearly budgets, accounts payable, journal entries, payroll, accounts receivable, expense reports, and financial statement processing. This person is also responsible for sending out and collecting mail. This is a full time position.
Must be able to work independently as well as with a team, meet deadlines, stay organized and work well under pressure.
Bachelor's degree desired but if you have a strong background in bookkeeping that would be considered as well.
Benefits include Simple IRA matching after 2 years, paid time off & health insurance contribution.
Work schedule is Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm.
