Responsibilities:
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Conduct bank reconciliations to verify transactions and resolve discrepancies
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management review
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Maintain an organized system for filing financial documents
- Prepare and post journal entries to record financial transactions
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Assist with tax preparation and coordination with external auditors
- Provide support for other accounting tasks as needed
Experience:
-3 years experience as Property Management Bookkeeper or in a similar role such as construction or real estate.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software, particularly QuickBooks or AppFolio
- Familiarity with technical accounting procedures and regulations
- Experience with account reconciliation and bank reconciliation processes
- Knowledge of tax preparation processes is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong organizational skills to maintain financial records efficiently
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
-Production and comprehension of monthly financial statements
-Maintain and regularly update work in process analysis.
-Process and cut checks for vendor/ subcontractor invoices for payment
-Accurately record business expenses related to advertising, infrastructure, and rent.
-Skills in logging and classifying various real estate transactions. This includes property maintenance, repairs, and professional services among others.
