Bookkeeping Manager manages and oversees all the bookkeeping staff. Responsible for the practices and procedures to ensure timely and accurate records and reports. Being a Bookkeeping Manager provides assistance to other financial function: budgets, payroll, etc. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Bookkeeping Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Office Manager roles and responsibilities: Administers office activities and services including the supervision of administrative office staff/interns to achieve maximum productivity and expense control. Develops procedures and policies for administrative activities, such as records maintenance, document preparation, mail distribution, reception, and other related internal operations. Directly Supervised by Managing Partner
Bookkeeper roles and responsibilities: Handles accounts payable and accounts receivable/billing functions, general ledger data entry, reconciles bank statements; updates chart of accounts and project codes as needed; manages timekeeping function in T-Sheets; manages payroll; timely reporting of GSA contracts; ensures timely renewal of all insurances (except health insurance) and receives and processes requests for materials and equipment for the company. Directly Supervised by Managing Partner.
Other responsibilities include:
· Assist with planning and facilitating international and domestic workshops
· Assist with client services, as needed.
· Ensure the confidentiality of each client by following all company procedures regarding information handling
· Assist with administrative duties such as answering phones, relaying messages, and filing.
· Proactively participate in all client retention activities and protocols, as communicated by the Managing Partner
