Branch Manager Assistant assists the branch manager in the daily operations of a retail banking branch office. Performs routine branch opening, closing, customer service, and other operational tasks and activities. Being an Branch Manager Assistant assumes responsibility for the supervision of the branch office during the manager's absence. Assists in training and managing branch staff. Additionally, Branch Manager Assistant ensures that branch operations follow all company policies and procedures. Maintains the required security, operational, and service quality standards. Usually has completed a bank management training program. May require an associate degree. Typically reports to a branch manager. Responsibilities:
- Overseeing daily operations and ensuring efficient store performance
- Manage inbound and outbound inventory
- Manage and supervise a team of service technicians, providing guidance and support
- Assist in creating and implementing strategies to meet sales targets and drive business growth
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering merchandise to maintain optimal stock levels
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including cash handling and loss prevention protocols
- Assist in training new employees on store policies, procedures, and product knowledge
- Develop and implement marketing initiatives to increase branch awareness and sales.
Experience:
- Prior experience in a position such as assistant manager in automotive repair or a comparable automotive management role is necessary.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, sales, and inventory management principles
- Proficiency in using POS (Point of Sale) systems and other retail/commercial software applications
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong emphasis on phone etiquette
- Proven ability to effectively lead and motivate a team to achieve sales targets
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
