Edward L. Sanders Insurance Agency, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager to service an existing book of commercial lines insurance business. Being self-disciplined and a self-starter are imperative in this position. The right candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment. You will be responsible for customer service and selling commercial lines insurance by rounding out your accounts.

Qualifications:

• An active Maryland Property & Casualty insurance license
• A minimum of 5 years experience in the insurance industry
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent insurance education (CISR, CIC, etc.…) Preferred/Not Required
• Working knowledge of Agency Management System, AMS 360, Preferred/Not Required
• Must be able to multi-task and handle a heavy workload with minimal supervision
• Attention to detail, superior customer service skills and a positive friendly attitude
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• A team player who is self-motivated and driven to succeed
• Proficiency in basic computer applications to include Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

Responsibilities for the position include:

• Work with our producers to manage an existing book of business consisting up of larger and more complex accounts
• Review renewals, recommend coverages, and negotiate insurance premiums with our carriers
• Provide daily service to those clients to include, processing certificates of insurance, handling endorsement requests, billing questions, etc. upon request

• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of carrier underwriting guidelines
• Fostering strong relationships with clients to maintain client retention
• Obtaining and ensuring current and accurate information and documenting it per agency standards
• Must have a solid understanding of commercial lines insurance terms and coverages and be able to discuss these with clients
• Interacting on a day-to-day basis with insureds, company underwriters, and our agency producers
