Job Summary: As a Plan Reviewer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with construction codes and ordinances for residential properties. Your responsibilities will include reviewing construction plans and related documents, evaluating proposed construction projects, and providing guidance on code compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review construction plans for compliance with applicable construction codes and regulations.
• Prepare detailed reports on code discrepancies and violations.
• Maintain accurate records of code reviews and interpretations.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to stakeholders, including the public and colleagues.
• Interpret and apply local and state standards, zoning codes, and ordinances.
• Conduct occasional field inspections to support building inspectors as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to address project challenges and recommend solutions.

Requirements

 Desirable Qualifications:

• Thorough knowledge of building construction materials, practices, and techniques.
• Familiarity with local and state construction standards, zoning codes, and ordinances.
• Ability to read and interpret building plans accurately and efficiently.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in using office computers and modern office equipment.
• Experience managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and tradespeople.
